Our chosen song

Was our feedback successful?
By talking to our target audience we were able to get feedback on what they thought was good and what things we could of changed in our film to make it better. One thing i noticed from our feedback is that some people tended to choose the wrong genre, as shown in the video they think its a "thriller". This may be because we did not have enough connotations of a phycological horror in the first two minutes of our film, which if we did would of made it a lot more obvious. I also feel the music may of given the film a different feel. It is not the sort of music that would usually be used in a phycological horror, but when we were making our film we felt it fitted as we were using urban backgrounds and young adults. They seemed to get the plot quite well and what was going on in the film, but most people felt we could of showed the stalker a lot more clearly by taking the camera off the tripod. One of the people we talked to also said we could of used a better quality camera, but this problem wasn't really down to us it was just the quality of our given equipment. From the comments on the first edit of our film (which had no music) people said we need to add music and try to make the story a lot clearer. We did this by cleaning up the phone bits, so that made more sense and adding the extra titles to give it a better story line.

My overall feelings from the feedback
I feel we managed to make an enjoyable opening and something that our target audience wanted to keep on watching. I'm happy that we were able to make an opening that was understandable and not too confusing. I feel we could of made the stalking parts a lot better and more obvious, using a bigger variety of camera techniques without the tripod. I also feel that we may of made a risky decision with the song we chose as it seemed to confuse people a little on our chosen genre. The first lot of feedback we got from the comments was very useful as it helped us to realise what was wrong with out first cut and what were the best ways to change our final to make it better and make more sense. So overall the feedback was very helpful.
